Green Workforce Mini Grant Application Guidelines

The Green Workforce program funds nonprofits, training providers, and community and technical colleges to strengthen and expand green workforce training in Denver. 

These guidelines outline the grant objectives, eligibility requirements, and application process.

Purpose

The goal of this funding is to provide up to $49,000 to:

  • Help organizations identify and address gaps in Denver’s green workforce.
  • Develop or launch green credentials and curricula that (1) Equip workers with skills for quality green careers. (2) Prioritize underrepresented and underserved workers.

Funding supports training that leads to quality careers in:

  • Clean Energy: Building electrification, energy efficiency, renewable energy.
  • Electric Vehicle Technology: Assembly and maintenance, infrastructure, battery storage.
  • Natural Resource Management: Water quality, tree care, ecological restoration.

Eligibility

  • Nonprofits, training providers, including for-profit entities that offer eligible apprenticeships or training programs, , community colleges, and technical colleges can apply.
  • Proposal must describe the program design model for Denver Metro candidates, with emphasis on Denver NEST Neighborhood community members, or Denver employers.
  • Eligible proposals are those that demonstrate a distinct scope or represent a new phase of program development outside of any past or current CASR contracts.
  • Eligible proposals must have a timeline of no more than 12 months.

Application Process & Relevant Deadlines

  • How to Apply: Complete the Green Workforce Mini Grant form online by February 20th., 2026.
  • Required Attachments: W9 and Secretary of State Certificate of Good Standing.
